Wisdom to Prosper in God's Economy

Danika Thompson

Work all night, work all day

Working your whole life away

Work and toil, work and strive

Work to survive, never to thrive

Never enough, always behind

Mind on your money, and money on your mind

Lack, greed, fear, and famine

This is life under the rule of Mammon

Stress on your heart, sweat on your brow

For in place of peace and trust, you've bowed to the golden cow

There's a Light in Goshen, there's wealth laid up for the just

In God's economy, you must give up, to go up

Repent from the striving, receive the blessing of the LORD

For to it He adds no sorrow, the abundant life is your reward

In the prosperity of His servant, the LORD does delight

For He fills your inner man with power and might

Power to get wealth, might to endure

Humility to be brought low, and still be secure

Power to discern every good path

Forever in God's blessing and never in His wrath

This is the portion for the ones in Christ

Christ in you, the hope of glory; salt and light

There's a Light for us in Goshen, so arise and shine

For the glory of the LORD has risen upon you at this time

"And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings." Exodus 10:21-23

Exodus 10:21-23

If you live under the wisdom of the world, you are living in unprecedented times. The current events are constantly shocking you and taking you by surprise, instilling fear and bitterness into your heart, stealing your joy and your peace.

If you live by the wisdom of God, the events of today are merely already written. With each new headline, your trust and your faith increases in the WORD of God. You live in a state of peace and joy and thanksgiving, despite the surrounding world of chaos. You live in Goshen- a city of God's people where the light never stops shining, despite being surrounded by a world of darkness that can be felt.

This world has it's own system that it promotes, and it is not the way of the kingdom of God. To be a slave to the system of this world, is to sweat and toil to keep up with a standard that cannot ever truly be met. It is a system of boasting, greed, envy, striving, contention, strife, malice, and needing constant affirmation and validation from man. It is built upon carnality where the "truth" it displays constantly changes based on feelings, emotion, selfishness, and vanity. It seeks it's own in that it is a system of "the one only for the one, and the one for none." This is the god of Mammon. To worship Mammon one need not literally bow before statues of gold, for it is the heart posture that bows to the deceitfulness of riches, the cares of this world, and the lusts (desires) of other things. This is the system that brings death, not life. It chokes up the potential of increase that God lovingly desires to release within all people. This system is a thief that traps people with the illusion of light, yet that light is false in that it seeks it's own glory, and instead of truly illuminating and increasing those who take hold of it, it only steals, kills, and destroys.

"And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful."

Mark 4:18-19 (KJV)

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

Matthew 6:24 (KJV)

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

John 10:10

"For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work."

James 3:16 (KJV)

Under this system, when the storms of life come, it does not stand. Come famine or flood, economic collapse or natural disaster, everything built upon Mammon's system shall crumble because it is built upon an artificial light and a counterfeit wisdom.

"And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” Matthew 7:26-27
"And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it. Matthew 7:26-27

However, there is a system, a kingdom, that stands through every storm. This is the kingdom of God. God's kingdom is a kingdom of abundance, not mere survival. It is a kingdom where peace, trust, and joy never leave, nor are they ever shaken by the storms of life. The kingdom of God shines a Light that cannot be put out, and it shines in the darkness though the darkness does not comprehend it. The people of this kingdom carry this light with them everywhere they go, in all circumstances, at all times, because the Light of the KING lives within them. These people are the saints in Light, and they love others as the King of this kingdom has loved them. Unlike the system of Mammon, the kingdom of God works to do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility the people of this kingdom esteem others as better than themselves. The saints of this kingdom have forsaken all for their KING, and joyfully give up so that they may go up within their kingdom. They walk in the BLESSING of the LORD their KING, which makes them rich and includes no sorrow or toiling with it. They have eternal life, and that life that they live is a life of abundance. Their KING gives them power to get wealth because it is a part of His covenant that He established with His people many, many years ago. This wealth glorifies the KING and continuously furthers His Kingdom. The KING also gives them supernatural strength and might in the midst of their weakness, so that when they are weak and powerless in themselves, the power and the might of the KING exudes from within their inner man, making all things possible for them in the will of the KING. The KING has absolute pleasure and delight in the prosperity of His saints who serve Him. And in the kingdom of God, the people who humble themselves in the sight of their KING, are given more grace and are exalted, whereas the KING resists the proud. The saints in Light are illuminated to discern every good path in life, and the KING gives them wisdom and revelation in His own knowledge, that the eyes of their understanding may be enlightened to know their calling. The saints of this kingdom are always in the blessing of the KING, they are always in right-standing with Him, and they never endure His wrath.

This is the kingdom of God. This is where the Light shines in Goshen upon God's people, despite a world immersed in darkness. This kingdom is built upon the rock that is the WORD of God, and it stands firm through every trial, every storm, every economic and societal collapse, and all the chaos that this world could ever hurl at it. This kingdom and the foundation upon which it is built, endures forever.

"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock." Matthew 7:24-25

Here at Victory Investment Academy, we provide people with the opportunity to break free from the destructive system of this world, and to come into the freedom of the kingdom of God. His blessing is not shaken, nor is His economy moved by the problems or the lawlessness of this world. The thief of Mammon cannot pass through the walls of the kingdom of God, for they are covered in the blood of the Lamb and death cannot pass through them. El Shaddai- the God of More Than Enough- is your source of all provision and blessing in this kingdom. And even the gates of hell cannot prevail against it. Turn away from serving Mammon- a wicked master that only aims to destroy you- and turn towards Jesus Christ. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and everything else that you need shall be added unto you.

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16
